This is Guy Fieri’s red sangria, and it was greatness. I found it in his book “Guy Fieri Food”, which I love more and more every time I use it. You know I always love a good sangria, and this one did not let me down (not that I expected it to!). Enjoy!
1/2 a lemon, sliced thin
1/2 a lime, sliced thin
1/4 an orange, sliced thin
1/4 cup fresh pineapple chunks
1/4 cup seedless red grapes (I like to split mine in half; takes some extra time and effort, but the halved grapes really soak up the drink)
2 cups Merlot
1/2 cup peach brandy (I couldn’t find that so I just used regular brandy)
1 up orange juice
1 cup lemon-lime soda, such as Sprite
3 cup ice cubes
In a large pitcher, combine all the ingredients except the ice. Stir to mix. Ideally, wait about 1 hour before serving. Serve in rocks glasses over ice.
